I received a PhD in Language Sciences from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2020, under the supervision of Dr. Pilar Prieto (ICREA-UPF). I hold an MA in Teacher Training (Universitat de Barcelona), specializing in Catalan Language and Literature, and an MA in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), specializing in Language Acquisition.
Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher working at the Dept. of Specific Didactics (Faculty of Education and Psychology), at the Universitat de Girona, with the support of a Margarita Salas fellowship (funded by European Union-NextGenerationEU, Ministry of Universities and Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, through a call from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona). I am a research member of the GRECA (Institut de Recerca Educativa) at the Universitat de Girona and of the Prosodic Studies Group (GrEP) at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
My specific line of research focuses on the multimodal integration of gesture, speech, and prosody, and its significant role in children's language development (specifically, in oral linguistic abilities). Broadly speaking, my research interests lie in the effects of multimodal communication on teaching-learning processes, specifically on children's development of cognitive and linguistic abilities.
I am also a lecturer at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences) and at the UVic-UCC/UOC since 2018.
